• Important Dates
  • PTO Meeting---Tuesday, September 15th @ 6:00 p.m.
  • Progress Reports---Thursday, September 17th
  • Make-up Pictures---Monday, September 28th

• News and Events
  • Thank you for coming out for our grade level parent meetings. I hope that you found it helpful in getting the year off to a great start.
  • Today, we began our United Way Student Drive!  All homerooms have been placed on either the Red team or the Blue team and we have a coin drop from now until September 29th. All proceeds will be donated to the United Way of West Alabama.  The winning team will receive a special treat on September 30th. 
  • Today, your child is coming home with a booklet for to be completed with names and addresses of family members and friends.  THERE IS NO COST (or obligation to purchase) ASSOCIATED WITH COMPLETING THE BOOKLETS.  Our school receives payment for the completed booklets and your child's teacher will receive ALL of the money for booklets collected by his/her classroom.  Complete the booklets and return them by the end of the week.  Your child will receive a prize for returning the booklet.

• HELP WANTED
  • Our PTO needs volunteers to help with keeping our grounds neat and clean.  If you are interested in helping, please contact our president, DeAnne Flores,310-0262. A sign-up sheet will also be available at tomorrow's meeting.
  • Your child would LOVE to have you eat lunch with him/her on any day.  Feel free to call the school (342-2648) for your child's lunch time.

• Did You Know. . .
  • . . . that Thursdays are Flatwoods' Night at Cici's Pizza?  If you mention Flatwoods Elementary when ordering, 10% of the sale will be donated to our school.  Feed your family and help our school at the same time!
